ABOUT US
Dal-Savers Dalmatian Rescue, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit ALL VOLUNTEER
rescue organization dedicated to rescuing and adopting homeless
Dalmatians into loving homes. We service Wisconsin and Illinois.
We carefully screen the Dalmatians we take into our rescue. They must
have good temperaments and be able to get along well in a family
environment.
Adoption Fees are as follows: Puppies and dogs up to 6 years - $200
6 years and over - $150
Deaf - $150
The fees cover the cost of veterinary care since all of our Dals are
spayed or neutered, up to date on Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella
vaccines, heartworm tested and kept on heartworm preventative, and
micro-chipped before adoption. The fees also cover other ongoing
expenses involved with rescuing a homeless Dalmatian such as food,
crates, leashes, and collars.
We are in need of
foster homes in SE Wisconsin.
If you would like to be a temporary foster home, please
Contact us.

FOR ADOPTION / SPONSORSHIP:
Icy was abandoned on a bitter day in January
"out in the middle of nowhere." She is an adorable adolescent with an estimated
birth date of Sept 25, 2009. Icy is nearly all white but has some spots on her
ears and on her tummy. She is completely deaf but is already learning hand
signals for "come" "sit" and "No!" She is fully house trained and has not had a
single "accident" in her foster home. She is a typical puppy and likes to chew,
so providing her with things that are her own that she can chew and enjoy is a
must. Icy should have a fully fenced in back yard. She loves using the dog door
at her foster house. She does well on the leash, too. She is spayed, up to date
on all her vet care and is heartworm negative. She is playful with other dogs
and is friendly to everyone.
Carmel is a sweet little hound mix. He is
about one year old, and still has puppy antics. He weighs about 40 pounds and is
good with kids and other dogs. He is housebroken and loves to go for walks on
his leash. He walks very well when he is on leash, but if he is in a place where
it is safe to be off leash he really has a great time. This is a gangly, leggy
dog that loves to bound around outdoors, so he could really use a fenced yard.
Sometimes he gets going so fast that it is hard for him to stop at the edge of
an unfenced yard. Inside he is very snuggly, pressing himself against you.
Carmel isn't much of a barker, but he'll let you know if someone is at the door.
He can be a little shy when he first meets new people, but once they get down to
say hello, he'll lick their nose! Carmel was a stray from Missouri, so he looks
forward to staying warm with you this winter if you'll let him!
Otis - Otis is a 2- 3 year old male,
Dalmatian/Basset Hound mix. He has the spotting of a Dal and the body of a
Bassett. He knows how to give you the sad Basset face with the long droopy ears.
He loves to sit outside and watch everything and has gotten used to the snow. In
the house if he can lay in you lap he is very happy. Otis gets along great with
other dogs and kids of all ages. However, he will take food out of the hands of
little kids, so toddlers look out, even though he will tolerates everything else
about them. He is more of a couch potato, but enjoys walks and being outside.
Chopper - is a 6 month old male Dalmatian
mix, weighs 40# and still growing. He is a very active puppy wanting to play
with you or other dogs. Chopper is a smart boy and loves to smile. He needs a
home where he will get plenty of exercise and love. With all of his energy, he
would do better in a home without children under 5.
Snoopy - is a 11 year old neutered
back and white male Dalmatian, he weighs about 69 pounds. He needs a
home to spend the rest of his life at, Snoopy seems to be in good health
and is up to date on all shots. He's still an active guy that likes to
take walks, he has been to obedience class and knows sit, come, stay and
down-as in lay down. He's good around children, cats and other dogs. He
has been in a home without any other dogs for most of his life we think
he would do best in a home that he was the only dog or a submissive
female. Please consider Snoopy he's a very loving dog his foster home
just want to see him be happy.
Snowball
– Hi, I am a Bichon Friese/Lhasa Apso mix, 4 year old male. I
spent my first 3 years as a breeder dog in a puppy mill. I am still
getting used to my new life, but people aren't as scary as they used to
be. I trust women more than men, but I do get along with other dogs,
especially the females. I need a lot of patience, but it will be worth
the effort for both of us.
Spot
- Male Neutered, I am a 7 year old who loves to be with people.
I am with other dogs, but would like to be an only dog or at
least the only male dog. I like going for walks, playing with
toys and just relaxing. I do have a problem with one of my ears
that just won't go away. It can hurt, but with consistant care,
it is bearable. I will need time to get to know you and if you
are patient with me it will be worth it.
WOULD YOU LIKE ANOTHER DOG, BUT CURRENTLY DO NOT WANT THE LIFETIME
COMMITMENT?

Our #1 need right now is temporary care homes. As a temporary
care home you will have the opportunity to save a dales life! Needed medical
attention is provided by Dal-Savers Dalmatian Rescue, all you give is food,
shelter and lots of TLC! We also need volunteers to distribute literature,
return phone calls, transport, fund raisers, do mailings, computer work or
attend one of our promotional events and anything else that may come along!
Many people think if they can't be a temporary care home, they can't help
a rescue. Nothing could be further from the truth!
